About Ask the Yo Pro

Vision

Ask the Young Professional focuses on listening to others, learning from our experiences and sharing with others to help them succeed.

Mission

Ask the Young Professional is an encouraging resource with a collaborative support community providing fellow young professionals with what it takes to succeed at work and outside of work by listening to the advice of others, sharing experiences and learning together.

Ask the Young Professional was created to give those starting out the information and tools needed to succeed. Too many young professionals start off not knowing what to do or where to turn. Ask the Yo Pro is here for them. Ask the Yo Pro combines lessons learned on the job with advice from those who have been there before. Here you’ll find posts on work, love, finance, lifestyle and more. Find resources to get you started on a career or advice on life outside of work. Relate to stories from fellow young professionals. Connect with a community of people who want to support you on your journey.

Why does Ask the Young Professional cover more than just work? Because a true young professional is more than just work, it’s a way of life. Being a young professional is all about how hard you work and how you present yourself outside work as well. It’s about becoming the young adult you want to be by finding yourself and creating good habits.

Do you have questions or want direct help? Feel free to contact me, Katie, directly at asktheyoungprofessional (at) gmail (dot) com. When I first had the idea to create this blog I thought it would be more like an advice column where young professionals could email me their questions for advice. Obviously Ask the Young Professional has snowballed into something else, but I am always here, eagerly waiting to help in any way I can.
